In case you do not know about us, Retreads International® is a non-profit, social group for motorcyclists who are forty years old and older (the fastest growing age group in the motorcycle industry, especially aftermarket purchases).
Like the word used to describe tires that have been worn out and given new life, Retreads are similar in that many of us had motorcycles when we were younger. When we settled down and had kids, the motorcycle was sold to help pay the bills. As the kids grew up and moved out, we were able to get back into riding and hit the road again. Hence the name, Retreads. Retread members come from all walks of life, ride all kinds of motorcycles, and usually work on their own bikes if given the opportunity.
The Retreads are divided into regions, and many of them have a regional rally every year. However, this is our International Rally, so folks will be coming from all over the U.S.and Canada. Some have come from as far away as New Zealand, Australia and Great Britain. Riding across the country, some of us do a lot of camping, sight seeing, and just enjoying the ride for the simple pleasure of getting away from it all.
At the rally, we meet, eat, ride, eat, kick tires, buy more “stuff” for our bikes, eat, talk about where to get the best stuff for our bikes, and eat some more. We also ride through the surrounding areas in guided and unguided tours searching for new and interesting places to go and see.
This year, we will be holding the event at the Park Inn Gateway Convention Center in Hickory, NC: “Gateway to the Blue Ridge”.

We are expecting 500+ folks at this rally. You can mail or e-mail your advertising information (logos, addresses, banner, fliers, etc.) to us along with your donation(s). We will make sure that your information will be given out with each and every registration packet. We will also have an information table next to the registration desk for walk-ins and will place your info at that table!
